Mentally: I feel good. I am hankering for the texture of bread yesterday and today. I am interested to see how ‘loud’ this voice gets today and how I will handle it.. I am going to make one of my Raw Breads in the next few days as I know I can toast this and it will help my mind cope.
Physically: Feeling good in the morning. Feeling head-achy & a bit agitated late afternoon.
Emotionally: Nothing is surfacing as yet J but after having done a 12-day and a 92-day Juice Feast I know that it is “early days” yet and I am ready for anything! I actually love the cellular level that I visit when doing a Cleanse.. It’s a very special experience where I have been able to connect with myself in a very emotional and mentally intimate way. I have never found this level of emotional and mental intimacy in everyday life.
Since 2005 when I re-discovered the raw food movement and the progress of the food in it I have been changing my diet. Re-connecting with food in a health.i.er way. I have done seasons of 100% raw, 80% raw, 50% raw etc… I have done a few Juice Feasts as well as re-defining how I eat on a daily basis.
I have had several revelations of how powerful food is in our lives and how it affects us mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. It all sounds a bit weird unless you have ever done something like this and experienced for yourself the ‘clarity’, the ‘peace’ & the ‘sight’ that comes from aligning what you eat with who you are… anyway’s… I’m rambling on, getting lost in that place I love J Back to Whole 30! 🙂
Our bodies are constantly trying to eliminate the nasties.. when we eat cleanly our body has the energy to eliminate (detox) them. This is often the ‘crisis’ we experience when a detox happens.
I’ve met a lot of people who try to avoid this ‘crisis’ but that negates the purpose of the cleanse in the first place. We have to ‘ride it out’. Walk thru the unpleasant symptoms so we can get to the ‘smooth sailing’… Understanding what is going on really helps. Our minds need understanding so that we can ‘cooperate’ with the process at hand.
I know Quinoa (keen-wah) is a controversial seed for some paleo lovers.. I have no problems digesting it. I soak it overnight and thoroughly rinse it. It is effectively sprouted quinoa that I then steam in my Thermy with different flavours like garlic, s&p, fresh herbs.. or I go the Asian route and use lemongrass, garlic, lime zest etc… from talking to many people and reading a lot I think Quinoa a fence sitter that you need to make your own mind up about..
The big picture here is eating as whole food as possible for the purpose of keeping our food as nutritional as possible.. I am confident Quinoa meets this criteria 😉
If you’ve done the Whole 30 let me know how it went in the comments below.
Im still feeling empowered to be Me
Much Love to You and your Journey xx
