If you’re feeling stuck I want to encourage you.
What if feeling stuck is really your heart, your mind and your emotions telling you… “I’m ready for something new!”
Feeling Stuck is your heart voice trying to get your attention to say “Hi! Hey! Come On… we’ve been doing this, we’ve done it, we did it, it was great, or it wasn’t great, whichever, but we did it, we’re done, we’re ready to move on…”
You’re actually on the verge of something new… yay.. *happy dance*
If you’re feeling stuck right now, you’re actually on the verge of leaping out into a new adventure..
That’s a little scary I know. The unknown always scares us a little.
We love having things in place that give us our comfort, we’ve all heard of comfort zones, but there are some things that keep us in a holding pattern in our life and we all love them… things like systems, structure, places, people, situations, our culture, opinions of family friends and other important significant people in our life.
Those comforts are important. Absolutely important!
We create this comfort zone, this holding pattern for ourselves and this is useful for the period of time it’s useful for… but then there’s the moment when we’re done with this comfort zone and we need to move forward… and then that holding pattern and that comfort zone, is no longer useful!!!
That’s our Signal that it’s time! It’s time to step out of that holding pattern, that system, those opinions of family and friends, that comfort zone…
We have to step out of what’s familiar and what’s known so that we can step into that new adventure that our heart is longing for.
So don’t be afraid of that!
Feel encouraged and feel confident that it’s okay to feel stuck.
It is just my mind telling me, it’s just my heart telling me, it’s just my emotions telling me, it’s just my sixth sense, my intuition, my wisdom that I have deep down inside, telling me it’s time to move forward.. yay.. *another happy dance*
Your heart is saying to you “come on, come on girl, lets go.. let’s move.. it’s time to move.. lets go, let’s not be afraid of the unknown, let’s embrace the unknown.”
Don’t Look Back at this juncture of your journey… every season has value, every season has a good intention for you.. sometimes you just have to go looking for it.. but don’t look back right now.. don’t stay here too long either…
There’s a saying “big doors swing on small hinges”… and one of the keys to doing that transition work, moving into a new season, getting unstuck, stepping out of stuck, one of the keys to that is baby steps… the very smallest of steps.. small steps..

Did you notice how I emphasized the ‘smallness’ of the steps?
I know you think you got that then 🙂
… but trust me..
…you think you got it but you will still be shocked at how small the steps need to be!!!
Find someone that you can check in with about this and actually get some help with it.
Let someone help you.
This stuff is very hard to do by yourself.
You probably would have already done it if you knew how to get unstuck…
…it’s okay to ask someone to help you.
You may need a sounding board, someone who can hold a mirror up to you and show you where you are and what you need.
You may need a life coach, this is certainly something that a life coach specialises in.
BRAIN DUMP / HEART DUMP
Have a look at what it is you want to move towards.
Don’t make it hard or difficult!
I recommend using a whiteboard or a large piece of paper.
- Write down everything that comes to mind.
- Write down anything that you want right now, no matter how unreasonable you think it is!
- Think of this as your free-thinking space.
This is the place of permission that you need right now to shift you.
This is called a brain dump. It’s an impressive technique when you’re feeling stuck.
Step Out. Make a Move.
- Give Yourself Permission
- Make a Plan
- Give Yourself Permission to Tweak the Plan
This is not going to be the final plan.
This is not gonna be exactly what ends up happening. It is not. It just isn’t.
Give yourself permission to change it along the way as you learn what it is that you want to do, what makes you happy.
Give yourself permission right from the start.
Everything you do is going to be a win!
Every baby step is is going to be moving you forward, propelling you forward in that new direction. Stepping you out of stuck.
This is Exciting!
You’re going to stop feeling this way because you’re starting forward momentum!
One baby step at a time!
Just give yourself permission.
It’s so important to give yourself permission.
What if the voice of your heart was more important than the voice of anyone else???
What would that feel like?
Empowering? Validating? Honouring? WoW!
Great Way to Honour Yourself!
We need to honour ourselves more.
Give yourself permission!
Listen. To what’s on the inside. Just Listen.
Grab a Friend. A Girlfriend. A Boyfriend. A Mum. A Dad. A Daughter. A Friend.
…and say, “this is the thing that I want to move into but I’m feeling stuck! Help me make a plan.” ..and then just break that plan down into the smallest steps, track those steps back to where you are now.. then you can take that next step…
That’s all you’ve got to do.
That’s ALL you’ve got to do!
And watch what happens! Watch yourself as you Step Out Of Stuck!
