HCG 2.0 PROTOCOL
VLCD Day 26 – Friday
I just want to talk about HCG 2.0 today..
I’m still recovering from my Off Plan joy ride over the weekend! who knew it would take me 8 days to get back to where I was. My fault completely. Learnt a lot from that!
But before I did the weekend thing I was already finding that I was hungry and I was pretty sure that the fruit was giving me cravings so I had altered the protocol slightly for my own benefit. Then I somehow found a thread on the forum for 2.0 and so I started reading it from the beginning.. a lovely lady called Janeen started it and still writes in there and responds to any questions..
Plus I had read a while ago that some people use MCT oil and it doesnt affect their ‘fat’ burning benefits of the hcg… so I had made myself a BP Coffee (no ghee) twice in the first 2 weeks and had posted good losses the following day so I was deciding whether to start to use that every day too…
So I read it all! took me a day – a years worth of posts 🙂
So, anyways, I read all the posts and then decided to buy the book (kindle). Got it. Read it. Yep! I’m gonna give it a try..
So the rules are based on the logic that 500 cals for every single male and female regardless of their height, age and weight needs to be updated! and this logic seems good to me so I figured I would give it a try..
BMI formula with my personal figures in there is:
A) Height (inch) x 4.7 = 307.1
B) Weight x 4.35 = 1531.2
C) Age x 4.7 = 230.3
A + B – C + 655 = BMR (2263)
My BMR x 0.4 = cals allowed = 905 cals allowed.
This means I need to eat, each day, 905 calories worth of PROTEIN. Not just any protein. It still has to be lean protein. there is a formula to help work out if it’s lean or not (see below).
LEAN PROTEIN formula:
protein / fat + carbs = 3 or higher
CARBS ALLOWANCE = 30g
MCT OIL = YES
FRUIT/GRISSINI/MELBA = NO
EXERCISE = YES
MIXING VEGETABLES = YES
MCT oil is processed by the Liver as energy and not as oil so it doesnt upset weight loss. atleast that is the research that HCG 2.0 gives. I’m excited by this as I love MCT Oil.. I do find with my body that I have to eat something before I have it in the morning. This means I have some protein (50g or so) first thing in the morning and then my BP drink. This works for me as I need to have protein first thing anyways for my Adrenals.
So there you have it.. 905 cals of protein each day with 30g of Veg Carbs.. no fruit.. mix veggies and yes to exercise (not to strenuous or inflammation results causing weight stall or gain)
I can do this! at least I can try it out for, say, 2 weeks.. and see what my body gives me.. I’ll know then if it will work for me.
